A Joe Button Update

Hi everyone!

We know it’s been a while since our last blog post - we’ve been up to our ears with everything that’s been going on and now that we’ve had some time to breathe, we want to give you an update on what Joe Button has been up to lately.

We recently moved into our new office – a lovely sandstone building on Bridge Street in the Sydney CBD – and we’re sharing the space with our friends at Airtasker. As the entire floor was empty before we moved in, we had to build all the chairs and tables ourselves, which ended up being quite a bit of fun. Here’s a picture of our co-founder Mel, frantically trying to build a chair :)

We also got some VERY cool pictures painted on our office walls with the Joe Button logo making its mark, just in case you didn’t know who was occupying this space! Now all we have to do is add some finishing touches before you Sydneysiders can start coming in and getting fitted. Make sure you join our mailing list so you’re the first to find out when we introduce fittings.

Another piece of exciting news is that we became a finalist in the 2012 BRW Retailer of the Year Awards! We’re STOKED to say the least, as we’re up against established players like Myer and Sportsgirl and as a young fashion start-up it’s a top honour to be amongst the cream of the retail crop. The gala event for the awards is in May and regardless of whether we win or lose, you can be sure we’ll be celebrating the night away!!

You may have also heard that we’re now hiring for the role of a social media / PR intern. We’ve been receiving some fantastic resumes and the hardest thing is going to be picking just one (can’t we take everyone!!). We’re still looking through all the applications so if you’re interested, it’s not too late to send your resumes to contactus@joebutton.com.

Last but not least, we’re currently looking through hundreds of swatches trying to decide which fabrics we should introduce to the site. If you have any ideas or input, please let us know in the comments below, on Facebook or Twitter. We want to make you (our customers) happy and what better way by just asking you tell us what you like! That’s pretty much it – we’ll be at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the end of April so if you’re there, come and say hello to us – we’d love to meet you and make some new friends!
